HOW DO WE CELEBRATE EARTH DAY FOR KIDS?

Earth day is a holiday in which the environment of the planet earth is appreciated and pollution is fought. Earth day was proposed in the 1960s. Some people celebrate earth day on april 22; some celebrate earth day on the vernal equinox (the day spring starts in the northern hemisphere).

Adult:  print template of choice or make your own. Adult:  cut the construction paper into long, one inch wide strips (you can cut fast, they don't have to be perfect) show the child how to hold their scissors. Let the child snip off pieces from the strips of construction paper  as the children get older, you can ask them to try to.

Wonderful earth is a captivating book about the creation that conveys an awesome respect for god's amazing work. With comical illustrations, fun lift-the-flap pages, and other paper tricks, children will want to read this book over and over again. While it is a great book, the author takes some liberties in telling the story of creation. He doesn't exactly follow the biblical account.

Warm water directions: first you will want to prepare some warm water in a glass. The warmer the water is, the faster the color will disperse from the skittles. Next, separate the green and blue skittles from the bag & set aside. Then, set the plate on a flat surface. Arrange the skittles in a 'earth' pattern. Finally, slowly pour the warm water in the center of the plate. You need enough water to cover about ⅓th of the height of the skittle. Then, wait. The water will melt the skittles and fill in the rest of the earth with color.
