View vintage valentines (circa 1910-1911) from our collection. These cards are part of a collection sent to my grandmother and her sister when they were little girls. One is addressed to "baby edna. " dates on the post marks are from 1910 and 1911. Some of the addresses are wonderfully sweet. These were sent at a time when one only had to write "city" or "local" and the post office knew that meant columbus!.

Brown paper lunch sacks retro valentine’s day images – i love the wide variety of images available from the graphics fairy. these are some free victorian heart valentines! the valentine images above come from a book in my collection, a rare circa 1907 pyrography catalog! the catalog is full of patterns, tools, and accessories for the art of pyrography, which is when you burn a design into wood. This intricate design would have been used for that purpose, and added to boxes or small furniture pieces. Featured are a victorian man and woman playing a game of chess. The caption is “check mate” and it’s framed inside of a wooden heart. I love how rustic this one is!.
